Hi everyone, I'm a Vietnamese citizen currently working in high finance in New York for the past 4 years (real estate investing at a large institution to be specific). I want to relocate to Singapore in June to be closer to home (Vietnam) and generally I just hate living in the US. From now to June I will try to find a job aggressively, but in the case that I don't have a job by June, I'm thinking of just quitting anyway and relocate back to SEA to network (prob more efficient finding a job by actually being on the ground). I have some savings and prob can last 9-12 months without working; my sister lives in Singapore so I can just stay with her so don’t have to pay rent. I don't speak any Mandarin. Do you think my plan is reasonable? My parents/friends think I'm crazy.
