What do you think ?
He is not an academician,
Never publish any academic papers,
Non professional
Non technical trained

But he is now an associate professor in NUS.

Do you think his students will respect him or think that he is just a political appointee due to his political background instead of his academic and professional background (such as accountant, lawyer, banker, economist, or engineer)

Mr Ng, a Nee Soon MP since 2015, announced in April before the General Election that he would be stepping down from the role, citing personal reasons such as time with family.

SINGAPORE: Former Nee Soon Member of Parliament Louis Ng has joined the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) NUS College (NUSC) as an Associate Professor, and will be in a teaching role.

In an email from NUSC seen by CNA, it was announced that Mr Ng will be teaching elective courses at the college, and could also be assisting students in a project that seeks to benefit communities in Laos.

He also holds a Master's in Primate Conservation from Oxford Brookes University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from NUS.

A political appointee is an individual chosen for a government position by an elected official or their appointee, rather than through the standard civil service process. These appointments are often based on political affiliation or loyalty, and may or may not require Senate confirmation

Bro @rocket is a degree holder from London University, better than fake Uni Oxford Brooke
To be precise, University College London - consistently a Top 10 in law discipline.

Oxford Brookes is NOT a collegiate college of Oxford University. How can someone from 416th in the world teach a world no. 8 ?

Seriously what qualifications does he have to be associate professor? Did he really get with own merit? If not how to stand tall among his colleagues if he got parachuted in.
