My suggestion is to use a lot of nice smelling fabric softener in your rinse.

Soak in Dettol solution overnight. Then cycle through washing machine next morning.

Use more and no smell .

If above fail then then it's your system use below .

don't worry. stop taking showers for a week, and the awful smell from the groin area will overpower the new boxer short smell. when girls look at you in disgust after getting closer to you, you know it has worked.

Febreeze and or lemon like what other folks has said. Baking soda is also useful for cleaning stuff but odours wise, lemon is really good. Useful even for removing the weird taste in the water in those electric hotpot stuff.

Use power detergent not liquid ones.

Dettol can cause certain fabric to stain yellow, beware of using it to soak clothing....:p

You must have bought those 'inexpensive' boxers from the street vendors...around South East Asia..including SINkingpore!.

A scoop of powdered detergent, in a pail of water, concentrate, soak for a few hours. Go to work in the morning, soak , then when home in the evening, hand wash the detergent out with plain water, until all traces of detergent is remove. Smell if the kerosene smell persits, if still there are traces, soak again in a clean pail..do not use the same pail...please use commonsense...

repeat....if everything else fail..throw away boxers..buy genuine article..ha ha ha ha
