And here is what just happened.
Chemicals used to preserve dead bodies were found in Shein clothing.
A new 2026 investigation tested 31 items from Shein.
25 of them, that is 80 percent, exceeded safety limits for toxic chemicals.
Formaldehyde, the same chemical used in embalming fluid, was found in children's clothing at 8.7 times the legal limit.
A children's jacket contained nearly 20 times the safe amount of lead.
Shein shoes were found with hormone-disrupting chemicals at 428 times the permitted level.
And in February 2026, Texas filed a lawsuit against Shein.
They found forever chemicals in Shein jackets at 3,300 times above allowable levels.
This also applies to products from Temu and similar sites.
These cheap companies do this because synthetic dyes with lead cost a fraction of safe alternatives.
Formaldehyde is sprayed on clothes to prevent mold during weeks of shipping.
Shein drops thousands of new styles daily.
Concept to consumer in under 10 days.
There is no time for safety testing.
There is no quality control.
These chemicals sit against your skin, the largest organ in your body, for hours every day.
Stop ordering from these sites.
It is not worth it, even if the price is 5 times cheaper.
