Knowing how I and my fellow soldiers behaved during our reservist stints I'd be extremely surprised if the injuries and deaths that have occurred over the last couple of years are the fault of the commanders or safety standards.

In the good old days we often used det chord to blow up trees at the SAFTI live firing area just so we could enjoy the fruit.

OC, CO and Commandant were blissfully unaware of out antics. Had a tree fallen on one of us a BOI would have been called and the OC could well have been taken to task for not being in control of his men.
