Getting an iPhone is getting cutting a products with cutting edge technology.

Many only look price without considering what they are getting with the iPhone. iPhones are more secure than android phones. Update is also easier to do.

Apple is the 1st company to use 7 nanometer chips. Other companies are not using 7 nanometer chips because these chips are currently too expensive. Apple is also using their propriety A12 bionic chip which is more powerful than the competition.

Try a google Pixel phone for the real Android experience. You won't be disappointed. Updates are a breeze and you get to free yourself from the clutches of Steve jobs

Since when iPhones ever had cutting edge technology? For soo long their specs has always been way behind compared to flagship android. N now many consumers have voted with their wallets going for mid range phones for their day to day tasks. Compare the Huawei p20 pro Vs iPhone X.

If you can't afford an iPhone than get a cheaper Samsung or Huawei phone or get one of the older & cheaper iPhones. Obviously you don't follow Apple that closely. If you did than you would know that they have acquired companies to do in house chip design as well as working with Samsung & TSMC to produce their chips. Apple also tweaks the screens they buy from OEMs.

If you look at Samsung, they tried to charge premium prices but people were not willing to pay premium prices for their phone with a mediocre OS(android), a so so Cortex A55 processor, questionable quality control e.g. as seen with the fire problem of Note 7 & exploding washing machines. I read that they are de-emphasising their phone business because they compete against the Chinese companies based on prices.

Apple has invested plenty of $$$ in their hardware e.g. faster in house A12 processors. They are the 1st to use 7nm chips. They have a design team designing the iPhone. Other companies simply copy Apple's iPhone design.

Huawei P20 uses a Leica designed camera. Leica has a long tradition of making fine cameras. However what if you are more interested in a phone? Or want to use one of the many Apps available in the Apple Apps store? Apple iPhones are also more secure than android. It is the only platform that supports Apple Pay.

I own a MacPro Portable, Imac, iPad & now an iPhone. I find that being in the Apple ecosphere is useful & not a handicap. My next purchase will be the Apple Watch becauseI I want the EKG features of the watch.

I am also making $$$ from owning Apple share : )

In the Q1(Feb 2019), we will see how many of these new iPhones Apple has sold.

Years ago I stopped betting against Apple because they've shown to understand the phone market. That is why they are now a trillion dollar company.

I am a long time Apple user. First time I used a Mac was when the 512 Mac was introduced. I couldn't afford to buy one but what attracted me to it was the simplicity of the WYSIWYG platform.

Over the years I've owned various Macs e.g. Mac SE, Mac CI, Quadra 800, Mac 7200, ... Bondi Beach iMac, 27". MacBook Pro, iPad, & iPhone. I liked the product so I bought shares in the company. Unlike Forest Gump I knew that Apple was not some fruit company but a computer company : ). I've Even worked for Apple.

I have never been an Apple fan. This harks back to the days when I started my business. I hated the way Macs were proprietary and made me depend on their service tech. My IBM-compatible PCs were easily fixed and upgradable with components sourced from Sim Lim Square.

When the world is moving towards open source and open standard, Apple seems to be going in the opposite direction. Are their devices still proprietary?

I have always been a loyal iPhone user. When iPhone X was released I am one of the firsts in Thailand who got it. In the past I would have always gotten 2 units of new iPhones because I need to use 2 phones for my work but not he iPhone X because at that time I just got the Huawei P9 and I really like it for its camera. The when Huawei released the Mate 10 just a few months later I changed to the Mate 10 and another few months later Huawei launched the P20 Pro I immediately replace the Mate 10 with the current P20 Pro. Am now very excited with the coming Mate 20 Pro to be launched on October 16th.

As for the new Apple iPhone Xs launching I did not even follow the build up to the launch, simply not excited at all. I am sure I will not be changing my iPhone X (for the first time in my life). I still use my iPhone daily for work as it is my main work horse as my Huawei, I am using it to take photos but I am beginning to like Android more and more as I am finding it as easy to use as iPhone.

At least u r not an apple fan boy who have vested interests in promoting apple. U see the product as it is. If u r happy with yr Huawei etc than good. Bcos it meets yr needs. For me a mid ranger is fine n I am ok with wat I have. But I am always on a lookout for a mobile with big screen, bestest camera n SD card slot. Dual SIM n headphone jack. N unfortunately most flagship phones no SD card slot. But when the rest of the flagship releases r done. I will see if got one that meets my needs. But for sure I won't get a faggot phone

Some people use "fan boy" in a derogatory way.
I use Mac products because they are easy to use. As Apple is a market leader, it is also easy to get the trading software that I use on the IOS/Mac platform.

Security is important to me because I do financial transaction via the internet. That's why I avoid android. The only android box I am using is in my TV and an Nvidia Shield which I use to watch TV & movies

I put together my own PCs to do torrenting & sometimes to watch KODI. Nowadays my PC is sitting idle because it's more convenient to use my iMac which has a gorgeous 27" screen & a speedy SSD drive. I can use it to listen to CNN & MSCNBC while checking my email & shopping, travel sites.

Although I have an iPhone, I 'm carry around a simple Nokia phone on a daily basis. I only use my iPhone as a communicating device to check WhatsApp & line messages. To me a camera is not important. If I wanted to take pictures I have a Sony RX100 which I rarely use.

I'm retired & no longer keep up with the latest & greatest. Apple products represent easy to use products that even I can use. That is why my next Apple purchase will be an Apple Watch. It is actually a medical device with an EKG.
