save your (long) message before submitting your post. sometimes the message content is still there in the entry box if you go back a couple of times after the error message.

I have no idea yet. DDoS is "distributed" so it is impossible to tell just by looking at the server logs.

In this case, it looks like someone tried to sabotage the operations here but it is very hard to figure out exactly where all the traffic came from and what the intentions were. The duration was short. DDoS attack can last for days.
