To be honest, it isn't about traffic which is at levels I'm quite happy about. I could spend $2000 on google adwords and get a much bigger boost in visitor numbers.

What has changed is that the revenue from this site now covers all the overheads with a bit left to spare, I've decided that I might as well share the joy with someone who needs the money more than I do AND is willing to put in the effort to earn it.

I've had two serious applications so far and guess what... they're both from foreigners so you can guess who is hungrier. I can see where this is going.

This experiment is gonna lead to you to some terrible troubles Sam.Why?

1.Because your target is too much to start with.How can anybody churn out one new story fresh each and every day?Even if he/she did,after 60 days will run out of steam and anything that is newsworthy is hard to dig out.If you seriously think it can be done than many afternoon journals that sells sensation need not need so many reporters,

2.There are many good writers each with their own scoop.Hence you appoint 1 and you are missing on others.

3.Jobs to Sinkies means some permanence and not knowing whether Sam will pay him/her the next month,

But your idea is pretty good.That is pay for good stories that people will buy--I mean read.

May I suggest you start small first.Pay for good stories.Maybe a couple of hundreds first.There is a lot out there who are happy with the appreciation than mere dollars.

And if you hope to pay for good writing skill than the money your offer is an insult.No offense to you.

Just go and tap all the citizens journalist out there....and Oh,a lot of younger generation are happy with materials gifts,like an iphone and etc.Maybe you could even organize a competition of sort.But first your readership must improve...from the whole lot of ah peks who are clogging your bandwidth to the teens.And they do write amazingly well.

I'm not asking for anything more than I have actually done in the past. I don't need 60 days worth of stories. All I'm asking is for 30 days worth.

Ask yourself how much effort is needed to make the same amount driving a taxi. I'm giving the opportunity for a PMET taxi driver to pretty much take a whole month off work.

If the sum isn't enough, then I have no problems with someone responding to the challenge to ask for a bit more but if there is no response, negotiations can't even begin.
