Earn $2000 for a month long project.

I just found about Raider's employment position and that he is keen to start his own business. He is an excellent candidate but he needs to build his business. The first few months is hard work. It best that he focuses on his new venture. Knowing him in this forum, he will take pride in it and spent too much time on this. I recall he once went back to his office on a weekend to address on a mod issue - that is a seriously a responsible guy.

$2k in a weird way is probably too high and discouraging them. I think they too consider it high and therefore the expectations are also high. Why don't you lower the amount to $300 and give it to 3 chaps over 2 months and see their contributions. Those who are new and good will need time to hone their skills without the burden of delivering quality work. It will be a great social experiment at the full costs of $1800 over 2 months. You can then pay the successful guy or gal a much more reasonable amount.

You might end up with nugget and a hungry one at that.

$2000. Is considered high? That amount is just a warmed up for life. That is apprentices amount to checked out what working life is. If you think 2k is alot. You need to be seriously check out what sort of life you are living in.

An article a day with pictures for one month is realy too much work and too time consuming, and not that interesting to boot.

I said earlier in the thread that all I expect is something that I do on a daily basis FOC for another forum about cycling which I help administer.

I write about my routes, my equipment, any problems I had along the way. I often mount my Go Pro and if anything interesting happens.. a close call with a car or the sudden appearance of a pothole, I'll upload the video.

If I find a new hill to climb, I'll share it using "map my ride". It's just a blog about my hobby. It takes me less than 90 minutes a day to keep things going.

Joetys does something very similar in his Thailand thread with more emphasis on photos than words but pictures often tell the story just as well provided there is enough info accompanying the image.

I honestly thought that someone who needed the income would jump at the opportunity. I'm rather disappointed.

Not many want to write daily about what is wrong with SG society unless it's their jobs or they have some keeness in the topic.
It's more annoying and irritating than interesting for the person doing the project.

That's fine... then I'd expect someone with drive and determination to counter with a proposal to write about some other aspect of Singapore. That's how people succeed in life. They make things happen.

Im interested in this job, when can I start? Though I'm not proficient in English.

Im happy to say that its a small business and its going well. I was doing the managing for my ex company for the past 2 years and I knew how to run the whole show well. The only difference is, instead of taking a salary, Im now on my own. The first month will make money already. Its my 2nd week and I have nearly covered my overheads for the month. This means that the 3rd and 4th week earnings will be pure profits for the month. But its just a small venture. I estimate that I will make around 5-10k a month. Not a bad business considering its stress free for me and it gives me plenty of free time.

I dont need the money but Im willing to contribute 1-2 postings(self taken pictures + 500 words of comments) on matters that I found interesting. It will purely be on a volunteer basis. Taking pictures and reporting on the matter as always been my interst. But I know my English is not up to the standard, so please bear with me. It is also my way of contributing to the forum.

Since Raiders expressed interest and obviously has the willingness and capability, let him do the project lah..........................

I think brother TFBH bought up something which I have to agree. It would be good for the forum that Sam gave the chance to a few people and that few people contributes a few articles each. This would gives people a chance to showcase their skills and to breathe new life to the forum. To write an article everyday for 30 days is pure madness :D

And yes brother, I also dont believe that 6 foreigners applied for the job :p
