Time for the old opposition stalwarts to quit

Time for old opposition stalwarts like Goh Meng Seng, Tan Jee Say, Chee Soon Juan, Ang Yong Guan Tan Cheng Bock to quit. They have had their chances and their time is up. The young voters no longer identify with them.

They forgot how Chee Soon Juan was persecuted by the PAP, so no sympathy votes for him.

Likewise, the younger voters do not know that Kenneth Jeyaratnam is the son of the old WP hero JB Jeyaratnam.

They also do not know that Tan Jee Say was formerly principal private secretary to the then PM Goh Chok Tong. To them, Jee Say is just another old politician.

The younger voters do not know of Tan Cheng Bock's track record as a good MP when he was a PAP MP.

Goh Meng Seng is a nobody.

Those voting for the opposition are the younger voters and younger opposition candidates connect better. Pritam Singh, Leon Perera, Gerald Giam, He Ting Ru, Jamus Lim are the voices and the hopes of the opposition for the future.

Low Thia Kiang has done a good job in grooming future WP leaders like Pritam Singh and can gracefully retire. The other party leaders like Chee Soon Juan and Tan Cheng Bock should follow suit and focus on regeneration and grooming the new generation of leaders within their parties.
