Oxley's 5.1% bond is struggling to stay above par-100 while OUE's 4.95% bond is trading at appx 104.9. Both have similar maturities.
Bond price/markets tell me everything.
I gave u all the answers. I dunno anything about Technical or Fundamental ANALysis of shares.

Its illegal because government cigarette tax will drop. These e cigarettes operate at a fraction of the cost to regular cigarettes and does not have tar and other toxins. The government used the angle of untested on long term effects as a reason. However, can you guys think of anything worse off than smoking a regular cigarette? Cigarettes companies have lobbists to sway judgement their way.

If buying stock is bad, why does W Buffet preach about buying and holding? Today, he is still as rich as before, if not richer. Gambling is bad but investing to hold stock in blue chips is not.

Hi Big Boss, you would agree that stock market has its ups n downs. Maybe all the shares rallied last year and 100% of the investors made money, but one day, there will be a payback time; someone gotta foot the bill. If stock market is a zero sum game, the enormous wealth of Mr Buffett and Mr Peter Lim, will equate to the losses suffered by thousands of retail investors.

Instead of struggling to stay afloat in the vicious cycle of stock investment, we can take a step back and focus on understanding where most of the rich people prudently accumulate and grow their wealth. (Eg. Boss Sam advocates entrepreneurship, hahahaa.........too bad RUN is not enterprising)

Of course, please don't be offended. The above mentioned are just some narrow-minded opinions of a defeated loser, they don't make much sense to most rational people. You have a nice weekend.

There is nothing much we can do to change but you can try to understand and take advantage of the situation.

1. Map the big picture. Avoid getting enslaved by the system and be able to identify economic opportunities that the sub-standard policies created.

2. For the kind-hearted among the 60%: we can be there for them when the society fails/disappoints them

3. For the big-headed arrogant bullies in life: identify them and stay wary of them. Every dog has its day. Even the lowest of us at some time has a chance to get revenge on an oppressor.

Just that a friend of mine does and he told me about the drop that's why out of curiosity went to take a look.

Anyway I just went to SGX site and look at the dividend payout and has been consistently 1cent, that is less than 1% at today's price.
Don't make sense to keep if you ask me.

Genting is a very special counter. Market rally, it can crash. Market crash, it can rally on its own.

Like the nature of their business, this counter is like a casino. I really don't see the need to study any fundamentals, if it wanna cheong up, nothing can stop it.
