Actually it is about helping with change.

People do decide to change sometimes. And as your rightly pointed out it has to be PERSONAL.

Individual.

Hey I never said it is easy!

I have not seen anyone quote me and say that I support anti-vaxxer except........porcaputtana.

@JHolmesJr bro ask you have I ever supported anti-vaxxing? You get that impression?
@tobelightlight do I support anti-vaxxing? (I think I am on his ignore list so definitely no lah)
@Loofydralb bro am I an anti-vaxxer? Do I support anti-vaxxers?
@Balls2U am I an anti-vaxxer? Is it unclear if I am pro vaccine or anti vaccine?
@laksaboy am I an anti-vaxxer or pro vaccine?
@nirvarq bro am I pro vaccine or anti-vaccine?
@hbk75 do I come across as anti-vaxxer to you?
@Datingafter35 am I supportive of anti-vaxxers?
@Leongsam what say you boss?
@dredd

No one replied except for boss Sam. Neutral? Boh chup.

Good. Anyway my position is pro-vaccine. But I respect individual right to choose and decide. They have to understand the risks of not vaccinating as well. Much of the fears around the vaccines are based on fear mongering. Rare complications by and large.

Long term effects are so far not well studied (is a fact).

Boss Sam's stance is to keep the conversation going. He likes data right? When he thinks 60% is going the antivaxxers way, he will balance the tilt by saying he's all for vaccination or vice versa.:biggrin:

I can feel your frustration with all this nutcase CT nonsense fear mongering. All the rubbish and twisting and fantasy and also stubborn vitriol and insistence they are right.

Welcome to Family Medicine. LOL!

Reading all this stuff in the forum is one thing. I mean at the end of the day so what? But when you are faced with it at work, and having a duty to care, have to control emotions, told not to outright dismiss and cause friction, to de-escalate (despite all the nonsense). Really not easy for me lah. Not my nature actually to tolerate this kind of thing. But I have trained to be able to.

Just be thankful you are not a Family Physician in these times.

When you know something to be clearly a lie, the responsible thing to do is to point it out.
I was brought up that way. To always stand up for the truth. That is what I teach my kids too.

"clearly a lie". "responsible thing is to point it out"
Black or white. Actually I used to think that way too. I was also brought up like this by my parents.
It made me depressed. Still causes me anxiety.
My psychologist taught me that this black and white thinking is what causes a lot of mental health problems.
Try to find the common ground.
Sometimes don't have to convince the other that they are wrong lah.
Agree to disagree.
Did you read the training (brainwashing) I have undergone? I can assure you it is not natural or my nature. I didn't cook it up myself or reinvent the wheel on how to practice as a Family Physician. It is how I was trained and is accepted as what good family physicians should do.
You are like my father. Not a doctor. Never received any training as a doctor. Never worked as a doctor before. But thinks they know what doctors should be doing. My father would love to say to me "If I was a doctor I would be the best doctor in the world. Practicing medicine is so easy!"
Family Medicine is also different from Specialist work.
I teach my kids to know what is right or wrong but also to have EQ. Understand that most times it is about people and feelings and emotions. You do not want to humiliate your colleague in public at a meeting by pointing out they are wrong in front of everyone.
Sometimes not what you say. But when you say it and also how.

We are different lah. I have been clear that I do not agree and do not support those crazy CTs. But they are people. And I have no beef with them personally. Their views and ideas are theirs.

Seriously, for all the fucking and insulting and belittling and what not you and porcaputtana have done what DIFFERENCE has it made?

ZERO. NADA. ZILCH. NOTHING.

Go figure why.

You are right. EQ is more important. Can't argue with that. :thumbsup:

Your father's expectations are not unlike the many on their views about doctors. Sure, every profession has its hangups. Dealing with them is quite something else. :biggrin:

I give as good as I get and yup, you are right. Everyone is different. Some don't suffer fools kindly, some adopt a more neutral or conciliatory stance like you while others simply bo chup. I personally don't expect to make any difference. We live in a world full of different perspectives. But when lies and misinformation are used to manipulate the gullible, that's when we need to responsibly point it out. Yes, things are not always black and white but everything has a basis for truth and lies based on hard, cold facts. :thumbsup:

I agree with you on the principles of honesty, truth and justice.

But life has also shown me that what is "truth" is getting more difficult to determine and somewhat problematic when trying to enforce.

The world has changed for sure.

I am the last person you should ask.:biggrin:

But sinopharm should be fine lah. After all, your mom took that jab too.

Fact is, no one really knows the long term effects of all the different vaccines. But what we do know is the immediate and short term effects of not getting vaxxed : a tougher life with all those bloody restrictions.:cry:

Bot,

As long as your Algorithms are synced, you do not need to be concern.
