For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother's womb: and there eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive him receive it. (Matthew 19:12 ASV)

Whispering Dirty Things

A wife told her husband to whisper dirty things into her ear.

The man then replied, "The kitchen, the living room,
the bathroom, and the dining room."

Do Not Marry

Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife. If you marry, however, you do not sin, nor does an unmarried woman sin if she marries; but such people will experience affliction in their earthly life, and I would like to spare you that. (1 Corinthians 7:27-28 NAB)

When you read the Bible, you have to go beyond just reading the verses. You have to look at the social, cultural, religious, political environment at the time those texts were written. During Apostle Paul's day, Christians were prosecuted intensely for their belief, in particular, those who tried to evangelize and bring Good News to the unsaved. Because of the prosecution, married people were particularly facing problems when trying to evangelize. So, Paul's advice to them was to remind unmarried but it's perfectly alright if they wish to marry.

During Apostle Paul's day...

And I thought your God's words were absolute. What makes you think what your favourite Apostle Paul said 2000 years ago does not apply 2000 years later?

You might as well rewrite the whole Bible and call it Psalm23's Modern Bible, LOL!

low life double-head snake psalm23,
There is a typo mistake should be Gal 5:2-4 not Gal 2:4.

Gal 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Gal 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
1Cor 7:18 Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. 19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

Your favorite apostle paul contradicted God's command on circumcision. Granted you are right, that is because of the reasons you given, so paul excused the gentiles from circumcision. Why today christians are abiding by paul's laws on circumcision but not following on marriage? Double-head snake, better cut-off one of your head:wink: You slap yourself on the face.

Have you bought the book? What is your problem? Your done done, 2 heads hypocrite

Read it long time ago. It's a classic. In fact Gordon Fee's books are always gems and well received, but betcha don't know that as well. You can borrow it from the library as you would be too hostile to fork out money to buy one for self study.
