The parties involved in a dispute over the cleaning of hawker centres managed by the Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council (AHPETC) have finally come to some resolution after a meeting on Thursday among the town council, the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the affected hawkers.

The meeting lasted about an hour and was held at NEA's office.

The Hammerrhoids have been spending months hardballing and stonewalling against the powerless hawkers, snubbing all their repeated and increasingly desperate pleas for a direct face-to-face talk.

“We believe it is prudent for our Town Council to deal with NEA as the lead agency, rather than other bodies such as the hawkers’ association,” proclaimed the Hammerrhoids arrogantly.

The Hammerrhoids simply refuse to show their face to the hawkers under any circumstances.

But now, the Hammerrhoids have relented but will only do so under PAP direct supervision and close tutelage.

At the PAP compound and in the PAP presence as a credible third party witness, the Hammerrhoids have finally relented and show their gracious face to their long-awaiting hawkers.

Simply put, the Hammerrhoids have put in too much ‘good faith’ in PAP’s intelligence and integrity while too much ‘bad faith’ in the hawkers’ intelligence and integrity.

By way of email dated 7 Feb 2013, NEA informed the Town Council that “the Hawkers’ Association will make the necessary arrangements with their contractors on the scaffolding erection / dismantling during the spring cleaning period from 4-8 March 2013.” We leave it to the public to judge whether any reasonable person would take the sentence to refer merely to the provision of canvas rather than the erection / dismantling of scaffolding itself, as NEA now claims.

In simple layman term:

“Hawkers are so STUPID! We are performing our Special Service to them for FREE! Yet they still want to pay for it! Worse, they even want to DIY to arranging and dismantling everything all by themselves! Hawkers are totally brainless!”

The Hammerrhoids simply despise the hawkers.

NEA is PAP, and PAP is NEA. Both have been acting in unison to persecute the real Singapore Opposition and the hawkers for far too long a time.

The Hammerrhoids are not fighting the NEA/PAP. They are fighting, persecuting and profiteering at the powerless hawkers.

The Hammerrhoids’ lan cheow suddenly become sibei tuaki when the hawkers beg them repeatedly for a face-to-face meeting. The Hammerrhoids totally bochap and bohiu them.

Yet, the Hammerrhoids’ lan cheow suddenly shrink and become all but disappear when NEA/PAP edict them to meet up with the hawkers at the NEA palace. The Hammerroid eunuchs become extremely obedient and guai-guai turn up punctually to finally show Their Grace to their long-awaiting hawkers.

The Hammerrhoids have been too deferential to the NEA/PAP and put in too much ‘good faith’ in their intelligence and integrity. On the contrary, the Hammerrhoids have been too disrespectful to the hawkers and put in too much ‘bad faith’ in their intelligence and integrity.

This is utterly despicable.
