Even with sky high COEs, our traffic during peak hours and non-peak at certain roads and expressways continue to be an eye sore. COEs yet to partially solve our congestion. Surely there must be other more effective ways of managing our cars and roads. Transport ministers like clueless, imo.

Ministers should set an example. They should not be allowed to own cars or sit in one until they leave office. Their mode of transport should be bus and MRT and on special occasions, use the taxi, limited to 4 trips a month.

You're right! If Singapore starts rewarding the poor and middle income and punishing the rich, the successful and wealthy will be leaving for greener pastures like Dubai, Cayman Islands, HK, Monaco, The Bahamas, etc. It's the rich who creates employment and grows our economy.

A lot of cars on the road means many people are dependent on it on their everyday activities. Car is a necessity. If it will be too costly to afford for common people, having a car,though with those cheapest brand names would already mean luxury. Get a car for your budget while you can.
