To many poor dumb sinkies, buying a car is easy. Just sign a few papers and the car is yours.
But they forget that they need to pay installments, petrol, parking, ERP, insurance, road tax.... and then they complain why everything is so expensive. Sinkies are truly hopeless.

My son and daughter are shopping for their own cars now. They are professionals. They each need a car. Thanks to COE crashing, they just saved $25k each.

That is on top of high taxation and duties for those cars. Everything in sinkie from the right to drive and right to live in hdb homes are just indirect taxation as these are not permanent.

The latest LAZADA saga severance package was lower than expected, and worse than what other tech companies such as Shopee and Grab had offered to their employees who were laid off last year.
One interviewee said this is the largest layoff exercise she has experienced, and it was "demoralising". All said they found it impossible to work as many of the people they had been collaborating with had been laid off.
