Exchange Rates for RM

Hi all:
One good way of transferring large sums of money, in a convenient manner, and get good exchange rates is to TT SGD directly into the developers account (at least works well for UEM). They typically have premium account and get the best exchange rates. They will also take SGD cheque in which case you dont even pay the bank charges although run a currency fluctuation risk as it maye take a few days for the cheque to be banked and cleared.
I just TTd my next payment on East Ledang to UEMs Maybank account. As per UEMs confirmation, the effective exchange rate after paying bank charges came to 2.475, which is not bad given the convenience and the fact that money changers are giving 2.48.
So far, I have been using HSBC transfer service from my Singapore to Malaysia account. There are no bank charges but I have realized that they have been totally ripping me off on the exchange rates. I remember when money changers were giving me around 2.45, a few months back, HSBC gave me only 2.39 - although they claim that they give the best rates.

由於上述路段有两间银行，加上道路为单向道，事发时车道相当拥挤。
案发时，两名钱幣兑换中心的华裔职员，驾驶著一辆本田Stream银色休旅车准备开店营业，结果在还未找到停车位前，在距离该中心约有6家店面的位置，遭两辆匪车前后包抄。
附近商家指出，其中一辆银色国產华嘉轿车进入该路段后突然停车，一辆紫色国產奔舒娜轿车则隨后而至，4名皮肤黝黑的大汉，持著看似锁车棍的武器下车，凶狠地將休旅车司机和副座车窗敲碎。
据悉，两名职员將现金装入背包，放置在副司机座位下，劫匪抢过钱袋后，快速登上华嘉轿车逃逸，留下奔舒娜轿车，估计干案匪徒有6人。

Hi Crystal, pls share the money changer location that gave 2.486. I just changed (5th July 8pm) at Superlink and received 2.482 for S$1000.

Yes, only a guide as this is the only decent online JB website I can find.
I use this as a reference only. I find that many times when people reports the rates from SG and JB, JB has the edge and the rates reported and quite close to the rate displayed by this website. Yes, can always call to double check before making trips down.

Hi, anyone here knows of any money changer in JB that would exchange your SGD to RM but instead of having you a load of cash, they will bank it straight into your Malaysian bank account?
Thanks Crystal and DoA. But I dunno where they are located. If they are too far from HH/BI area, then it may not be worth the time to travel there to exchange. As it is, the jam going to Superlink can be a turn-off sometimes. So we time our travel to avoid peak road hours.
