The case of the 2 boys jumping to their deaths was a tragedy.

But what bothered me most was something reported in the new paper yesterday. It was reported that the parents of one of the boys said they decided to move their hawker stall to another location after their son's death, because many people came to ask them why he died.

I find this appalling. It may be best to say nothing, at most, tell them you are sorry or not to be too devastated. But to ask the parents why their son died? If they are really that bloody curious, at least have the slightest bit of decency to ask a relative, like an uncle or a cousin.

Why are human beings like that?

I too am shocked. Is this an odd situation or society has changed that much.

Why shocked? I'm not. I may jump or drop dead anyday too, or may not. Nothing surprising. Never send to know for whom the bell tolls.

Why are human beings like that?

to fulfill their curiosity?

like asking what is the meaning and purpose of life?

it's sad that their parents do not know what their children are up to...

It is not human beings are like that. It is " Why are sinkies like that?"

What is so different about this teenage suicide anyway?

High rise buildlings everywhere in Sinkieland, the people who committed suicide by jumping off tall buildings over the years had probably numbered in the thousands.

He's not shocked by the tragic death of the 2 boys.
He's shocked by the questions being asked by the "concerned" people.

The octogenarian was right. They are of low-gene stock that descended from labourers, hence these barbaric attitudes and behaviours.

Barbarians and manners are mutually exclusive.
