The case of the 2 boys jumping to their deaths was a tragedy.
But what bothered me most was something reported in the new paper yesterday. It was reported that the parents of one of the boys said they decided to move their hawker stall to another location after their son's death, because many people came to ask them why he died.
I find this appalling. It may be best to say nothing, at most, tell them you are sorry or not to be too devastated. But to ask the parents why their son died? If they are really that bloody curious, at least have the slightest bit of decency to ask a relative, like an uncle or a cousin.
Why are human beings like that?
