I guess most of those John had approached probably didn't have the time to engage in a conversation with him to understand his issues and challenges, hence they rejected his request. Some probably think that he's a scammer.

The TikToker probably had time to spare on his hands, hence he listened to John's issues/difficulties. Then again, the Malays I know tend to be kinder and more generous than Chinks or Nehs.

I guess @syed putra would probably help him as well... as for me, I would have thought he's a scammer and walked away...
