Sinkies have been borne with a mentality that " the grass is greener on the other side '. It can't be helped as even the government keep drumming it into our mindsets that we are a small country unlike other countries which have rich hinterland and natural resources. There is always the dissatisfaction even when we have achieved so much. So, while we have a high standard of living, people are still not satisfied. Houses are expensive. So are cars. Sinkies are rich but they don't feel rich in Singapore. With their wealth, they expect a much better quality of life. It is possible in other countries , but not in Singapore.
Sinkies are unappreciative. The grass is fucking green right where we are.
Houses are expensive because the PAP government invested a lot into public infrastructure, safe streets, fair laws and commerce.
Houses are cheap in JB not because UMNO is competent, but simply because the place is far less developed, the streets less safe, the cops more corrupt and people there don't have much faith in the local laws to protect them.
