Btw how much more do punters bet when wc comes around? After the last crime watch episode where they targetted illegal punters does this mean police are super busy this period to arrest bookies and punters?

WC attracts more punters. Quite a number dont touch soccer betting until WC comes around. Betting amount varies but from my knowledge, many reduced their bets now. Quite a significant number lost in the casinos.

Police relies on intel led ops to suppress the bookies. You need intel to lead as they have the resources. That's why they are able to conduct simultaneous hits. Bookies and runners are first priority. Those caught at kpts and in public are random. Not intel led. The big bookies are outside S'pore. Untouchables.

When will Winner D meet Brazil? you siao ah?

Now more likely Brazil (Winner A) will face Spain (Runner Up B) in the last 16 unless Dutch lost 1 game.

Casinos are the giant money sink. Stock market dried up because of casinos. Now football betting also reduce because of casinos. My remisier was complaining stock market now tan bor chiak.

In the past, money won or lost in the underground market circulated around. From bookies/runners/punters it went to nightclubs, hair dressing saloon, restaurants etc. No one kept the money.

When the 2 casinos started, all winnings are kept by MBS and RWS. Money kept. No longer in circulation. Yet to know someone who won or made a fortune from the casinos. Pok kais alot.

After spain's big loss to holland i am sure many punters lost cos most should be on spain winning bookies must have made a killing on that match.
 
A lot of people keep taking uruguay now. odds suddenly dropped a fair amount.

I think the feeling is all the latin teams are going to do very well.

True, true. Everyone benefited from the huge underground market. I also heard of horror stories coming from the casino side. ST will never report them. According to my remisier, nowadays almost no one pok kai in stock market unlike last time, he had to cover for several of his clients who suffered huge losses. Nowadays, everything revolves around the casinos.
 
Costa Rica really is stupid to have hugged that player in hr penalty area and given them a penalty kick
