Why do most non-Christian Chinese S'poreans give themselves adopted Western first names?

By today standard anything related to western culture look atas. So many jump into the bandwagon and embrace western culture. But the superior race Angmoh will view this differently. Clueless S'poreans are the ones who label all western names as "Christian". Most of the western names we come across here are in fact of Jewish origin i.e. Aaron, David, Paul, James, John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Simon, Daniel, Peter, Joseph, Jeremy, Joel etc.
