Why do most non-Christian Chinese S'poreans give themselves adopted Western first names?

I only know that calling someone else "CCB" in S'pore is highly offensive in Hokkien and means "smelly vagina". LOL!

By today standard anything related to western culture look atas. So many jump into the bandwagon and embrace western culture. But the superior race Angmoh will view this differently.
