Fighting dogs are a result of breeding guard dogs. Only guard dogs with their fierce territorial instinct will square up with another dog in the ring. You definitely won't see a working breed like collie (pedigree or mixed) used in a dog fight.

In the absence of legal dog fighting events this day and age, pit bulls are mainly used for guarding premises..

theres 2 types of pitbull ..one is those skinny type ( used for dog fight ) another type is huge ( bully ) ..for show dog only . bully are expensive ..about $5000 and some champion breed and fetch $20k and above .people are not stupid to use bully for fight...its too expensive

those are not pitbull bully ...they are just pitbill terrier ..its different ..

by the way ,theres many dogs that bite the hell out of their owner , not just amercian pitbull terrier ..

Socialising during their pup days is one of the most important parts of dog training. An ill socialised pup will grow up to be nervous and aggressive.

I know that temperaments of guard dogs change upon puberty. This is when their inborn wolfpack instincts kick in. As a general rule, male dogs become more territorial and bitches become protective of their owners due to maternal instinct.

In my fifty years on this planet, the only dog I've been attacked by was a Bichon Frise, please tell the authorities to include that breed in your Category B dangerous animals and muzzle them vicious devils, or their owners!

My Springer Spaniel died of old age a few years ago and I'm travelling a bit now. He was the most goofy thing on Earth and my family misses him so much. So when I stop being nomadic again, I wanna another doggie - but this time short hair and not so big. Pit Bully will be top choice.

As of August 1991, certain breeds of dogs (Category A animals) are not permitted entry into Singapore. These breeds are:-

Pit Bull - including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog;
Akita;
Neapolitan Mastiff;
Tosa;
any crosses of any of Pit Bull, Akita, Neapolitan Mastiff or Tosa



A separate group - Category B dogs - must be leashed and muzzled at all times when in public. Category B animals are:

Bull Mastiff;
Bull Terrier;
Doberman Pinscher;
German Shepherd or related Shepherd Dog breeds;
Rottweiler;
Perro de Presa Canario.

i glad you are a dog lover ..i used to own a great dane and he passed away when he was 8 years old ( great dane have a short life span of 8-10 years ) .
recently i just got a pitbull bully after i saw my friend own one . pitbull bully is a lovely and handsome dog . many people fear the unknown and pitbull is one of them .

Yes, I do like dogs. I like dogs more than most people. Even though dogs don't talk, they know how you feel inside, and they reciprocate that emotion.

I didn't know Danes had a short lifespan. My Springer was more than twelve. Towards the last few months, his hind legs got weaker and weaker adn the vet told us we had to let it go. Even thought that was the right thing to do, and endoresed by professional advice, I still feel like shit remembering giving the go ahead to put him top sleep.

Hey, I saw a white bull terrier in one of those clips, I like that too. I've seen a miniature one somewhere - and even that is banned in HDB!

Gosh, those bullies look divine! I can only imagine myself having a pack of 'em. I'd name them Hades, Titan, Neptune, Genghis.... . Shit, I better stop here.
