who is the best fighter in the world?

it's an elusive title. at one time, it was fedor emelianenko, followed by anderson silva, followed by georges st. pierre. but now, it's topsy turvy with age, retirement, defeats, injuries, new champions at various weight classes. jon jones is the one to watch these days. tapology uses its own ranking methodology to rank the top mma fighters of all time based on matches, wins, difficulty in wins, toughness and skill of opponents, consecutive series of wins, number of bouts and championships, length of championships, etc. i kind of agree with the latest order.
