A mock-up of the J-20 fighter was presented to the Commander of the Iranian Army Air Force by the Chinese military attaché, which increased speculation about the delivery of this fighter plane and its addition to the fleet of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Chinese Foreign military attachés residing in Tehran met with Brigadier General Pilot Bahman Behmard, Commander of the Iranian Army Air Force, on the occasion of the commemoration of February 8, the anniversary of the historical oath of allegiance of the Army Air Force personnel to Imam Khomeini (RA) and Air Force Day.
At this ceremony, a mock-up of the J-20 fighter was presented to the commander of the Army Air Force by the Chinese military attaché, which increased speculation about the delivery of this fighter and its addition to the fleet of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force.
In recent years, the conclusion of a strategic cooperation document between Iran and China has raised the issue of selling the Chinese fighter plane to Iran, and some domestic and foreign media outlets at that time had raised speculation about the sale of this fighter plane to Iran.
The J-20 is a Chinese fifth-generation fighter aircraft designed and built by Chengdu Aircraft Corporation. It is designed for air superiority and ground attack missions and first flew in 2011 and entered operational service with the People's Liberation Army Air Force in 2017.
It is considered one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world and is a strong competitor to fifth-generation fighters such as the American F-22 and F-35. The J-20 is a symbol of China's technological advancements in the defense industry.
