Both are totally wrong. Handsome can never be poor as handsome can have many great opportunities to become rich. He can become a model, actor, if he can sing well, he can gain fame and fortune through the entertainment industry. In today's internet age, he can be a YouTuber with millions of girls following. Advertisement endorsement, etc... So how can a handsome guy still remain poor? Unless he is stupid and lazy as fuck and doesn't care about money or working. Even if a handsome don't want to work and want to be lazy, he can have to option to hook onto a rich Tai Tai/girlfriend and live off them.

Also, if you are rich, you can go for plastic surgery to change your feature to improve your look so that you can become handsome even if you were ugly. Get the best clothing, design, accessories to pump up your image. So how can you remain ugly when you are rich with many choices? Unless you don't care how you look and that can be a choice as well, but it is not an end.

Like I've said, being handsome gives you many opportunities that ugly people don't have. But with those opportunities, it is up to them to take or leave. If they leave, don't say they were not given a chance.
