Thank you for the link Charlie99.

A few observations from the data. Trump got more of the Christian vote. The ones who went to church weekly gave Trump their vote more than the ones who did not.

Seems to be that the higher the education level the more likely one was to vote against Trump. The centres of higher learning are also where the media comes from. So the rhetoric and values taught in schools tend to mirror the left.

It is already happening in Alberta. The education minister has forced every school to come up with programs to accept and promote LGBTQ. Even in Catholic schools.

Personally, I have nothing against the LGBTQ community. They can do what they want. But to go beyond that and force their values and views on those of us who by religion or choice do not want to practice their ways is going too far. It is the other spectrum of intolerance.

This is called political correctness, and Trump knows that many in America are sick and tired of it. The reason why blacks are racially profiled by the police is that simply they are the ones committing the crimes. But its politically incorrect to say so. A crime like raping and beaten up a woman is called a "sexual assault". what the fuck is that? She was raped, just say so. Political correctness gone amok.

Here, 70% suffering frm the Stockholm Syndrome cannot live witout being arse fook by PAP.

I don't think its that much. In the last election, 30% voted oppo. But in the election prior to that, 40% voted for the oppo. So, we know that of the 70% that voted for the PAP this time, at least 10% did not do so in the prior election. Then there is the core group of PAP supporters that will voted for them no matter what happens. There is another group that hold their nose up and have ALWAYS voted for PAP because they see the alternative oppo as not up to the task. I am hoping the trump win will tell them that it does not have to be that way. Give the oppo a chance. Perhaps between the lost 10% and this silent majority of arm twisted PAP voters, you might get 50% oppo votes.

I agree with you re: LGBTQ, that is they can do whatever they desire in their own homes and community, but should not promote their lifestyle in schools and the society.

I wonder whether or not in the forthcoming decade, the Singaporean voters will consider and vote for change.

With regards to the PAP, if they were considering making amendments to the Constitution re: elected President, then it would have been morally correct to campaign on it in the most recent GE.
Notwithstanding that it should be a GE issue or matter, I believe that since for the past several decades, the PAP has had a very significant majority in Parliament (way over 75%), the PAP government should not make amendments to the Constitution as and when it felt like doing so, without a National referendum.

Accordingly, I hope that Singaporeans realize the risk and significant disadvantages of continuing to vote for the PAP and allowing the PAP to have more than two-third majority in Parliament.

I have been out of Singapore for more than 6 years now (longer than it took me to get my PR and move to Canada). I will not begin to think I know how Singaporeans think these days. But the mainstream media is certainly still very PAP controlled.

Whether or not Singaporeans will reject the MSM messages like the USA voting people did remains to be seen. But the track record of the Singapore electorate would suggest otherwise.

One way to see is how many turn out to vote for the "elected Malay president" when the time comes to vote. If the turnout is dismal then there is some hope.

Your response is called stereotyping. Look, there are more blacks who are law abiding than blacks who break the law.
Sexual assault is more broad than rape. That's a good thing.
Political correctness is just a right-wing slam because right-wingers can't stand being told that they need to respect others.

Why not? Just because you don't like it that two men or two ladies kiss? Don't they have rights like you? In school, they are just teaching kids to accept diversity. It is 2016, not 1960.

There are also more white who are law abiding than whites who break the law. There are also more asians who are law abiding than asians who break the law. There are also more hispanics who are law abiding than hispanics who break the law.

Trump is not a scholar.

He gets things done based on his gut feelings.

Unlike those useless politicans who can only change laws to keep themselves in power instead of fixing things like an engineer.

Trump screwed others up to enrich himself. He doesn't fix things. He is a conman. Look at this Atlantic City casinos for example.

There is no need to reserve a specific Presidential Elections for a specific ethnic group.
If the PAP government believes that the best person should be elected, it should allow Singaporeans to decide.
If there is need to show the world that Singapore is multi-racial, then any individual should be eligible to be the President and the PM.
Singaporeans should not "protest" or abstain like the Barisan Socialis in the 1960's, but show their disagreement by spoiling the ballot for the Presidential Elections,
and to vote for as many non-PAP candidates as possible in the next GE.

Most sinkies support Hillary. I have since repented of that sin and Trump has forgiven me. On hindsight, why do sinkies not support Trump since we all love Ah Gong so much? Trump and Ah Gong are alike in their strong-man, winner image.

Yes, Trump supporters should feel totally at home in sinkapore. Did you ask Trump to make Sinkapore the 51st state?

Look here, I am more than happy that the two men and two ladies have found love and are expressing their love to each other. More than happy. I am serious. It is absolutely ok for them to do what they want.

You are putting words into Charlie99's post that is not there.

What we are saying is that if you are LGBTQ, fine. It is just a preference in life. Like I enjoy skiing but I don't go around saying that EVERYBODY should go ski. I don't insist that schools teach children how to ski?

Let's be a bit more direct and talk closer to the topic. A sexual preference is a sexual preference. It should not be something that be taught in schools. I don't see left wing people campaigning to teach kids about Bestiality? BDSM? Those are sexual preferences as well.

People can have preferences and choices. Fine. But is there a need to force the rest to also choose their preferences? I had brought up a similar situation with the HALAL issue. Just because a particular religion does not allow them to eat pork, thus EVERYONE else has to also not eat pork. Where is the tolerance? Go find me a sausage mcmuffin in Singapore which contains pork. A bacon sandwich that contains real bacon and not turkey. I mean they don't even offer the option of having real pork sausages and real pork bacon.

Winnipegjets, you're the one who comes across as an angry, disgruntled, the-world-owes-you-something, type of person who reacts over the top and accuses anyone who has a different view point from you as being an extremist hater, racist, misogynistic, intolerant asshole.

Sometimes when you see how people react to things, you get an idea of how their minds work and how they really view other people.

Singaporeans I remember have this phrase ....."where got time?". So showing up and spoiling the ballot is probably unlikely lah unless things have changed and the electorate is a lot more sophisticated now.

Then a right-winger and a progressive is in agreement.

You are putting words into Charlie99's post that is not there.
I just did a reply with quotes ...what am I guilty of?

What we are saying is that if you are LGBTQ, fine. It is just a preference in life. Like I enjoy skiing but I don't go around saying that EVERYBODY should go ski. I don't insist that schools teach children how to ski?
Where do LGBTO ask everyone to be like them. The schools merely explain to children that LGBTO is normal and to inculcate in them to accept the LGBTO. Why is that wrong? It is no different to teaching kids to accept people with disabilities.

Let's be a bit more direct and talk closer to the topic. A sexual preference is a sexual preference. It should not be something that be taught in schools. I don't see left wing people campaigning to teach kids about Bestiality? BDSM? Those are sexual preferences as well.
If children are not taught about LGBTO, then they would treat them like freaks because parents, especially the right-wing ones, will teach their kids slam them.
Schools don't teach kids about LGBTO sex.

People can have preferences and choices. Fine. But is there a need to force the rest to also choose their preferences?
Where is the force? Education is not forcing, okay.

That's a corporate decision. Right-winger respects business, yah? Then you should organize a boycott of that business until it caters to you.

Winnipegjets, you're the one who comes across as an angry, disgruntled, the-world-owes-you-something, type of person who reacts over the top and accuses anyone who has a different view point from you as being an extremist hater, racist, misogynistic, intolerant asshole.
Wow, of the four labels, I think I probably used only one on you. Forceful debunking of lies is not angry. Disgruntled ...just because I criticize the PAP and right-wingers like you? The world owes me nothing ...but I believe the government has a role to play to make life better for everyone. Just because you don't share my view, you curse us progressives.

Sometimes when you see how people react to things, you get an idea of how their minds work and how they really view other people.
So true. You were much better before you became extreme. What happened to your compassion?

It does not have to LTK. It can be anyone of a number of current oppos or even someone who is not even on the radar now. There are some humble and well known singaporeans that are not in politics now.
If they are truly humble and remain truly humble until death, they would never become politicians.
Maybe that's why they are still not in politics.

Agree with you. Elect the politicians to do your bidding, not because they are nice, or because they are "same" as you.

Obama comes across a super "nice" person, promises alot of "change". After 8 years, the situation got worst. Nothing changed except a half-ass scheme called Obama care, which is now going to be ditched by the new government. More wars and more opaque trade treaties that favour the large corporate gangsters. None of the banking fraudsters are jailed but continue to gamble the system (Wells Fargo come to mind).

He is black. But more blacks are jobless, disenfranchised, jailed. One of the major factor Hillary lost was less than expected number of black men came out to vote her (less turn out). Strangely enough the "racists" Donald Trump got one of the highest black voters in Republican's recent history.

The middle east got worse after 8 years. More American soldiers are on the ground, more refugees, more terrorism.

Obama is a useless indecivisive rubbish who loves spending his time trying to look nice in media, rub shoulders with celebrities. I almost throw up everything the media has news about his try hard effort to charm the public when the most important stuff are not being dealt with.

Imagine if you are the BOSS, hires a staff who cannot make it, but nice. You still keep him around? Or your wife hires a maid, who cant cook cant clean cant whatever, but she is "nice". Your family wants to retain her?

On that basis, you justify police racial profiling and brutalities against blacks? Guess you don't give a damn about individual rights, especially of minorities.
