Lets face it, Spore is out of space and we need more people. Malaysians already form the bulk of PRs in Spore. Now with the Highspeed train and other networks, it will be a breeze to live in Malaysia and work in Spore. Maybe thats what the MasterPlan is not telling us. In future, u can live in a bungalow in Johore, hop on the MRT and go to work in Shenton Way and back in no time! Who knows what can happen in 15 years time!

If what you envisaged is true, then the White Paper should be re-written to reflect 6.9 million Singaporeans in Johor.
All land in Singapore will be reserved for industrial, commercial and defense use!

But on a realistic note, no country can afford to put it's economic, defense and human resource interests hostage
to an external party (or parties).

We are screwing up the Johoreans in a way too. Pushing up the property prices in Johor. They sure resent us.

In many big countries , its normal to take one and a half hour train ride to your working place if you wanted to save money or wanted big space for your home . if that going to happen in Singapore make sure train tickets is affordable for those who don't drive .

Been living in JB for quite some time now and sinkee numbers here have been growing by leaps and bounds. Pretty soon the prices here gonna be on par with peesai.

If you wanna do it, do it now. Later when MRT and the other rail ready, quite expensive to do so. Unless you got rental income from your pigeonhole. Now its about $1200 sing for rent, water, electricity, shitty internet, shitty cable and misc.

But in the end the most important thing is your health. Whether living in peesai or mudland, you still got to fork out and arm or a leg if you need serious healthcare.

Better option is to immigrate to high tax but free healthcare cuntry. Its still cheaper to pay a higher tax that covers ALL your family members. If you got the Duggers kinda family, its a steal.

Actually if u really really think about it, it can work. All the land intensive, cheap labor industries to Johore....if Sinkies are in those industries, then they have to work in Johore. They can live in Johore or in Sinkapore but the commuting time will be bearable.
All the valuable and high tech stuff stays in Sinkapore.
If we get to build and manage residential estates in Johore (like Capitaland), then living in Johore becomes a viable option. Maybe Woodlands/Tuas may prosper if they make it such a way that travel to work in Woodlands and Tuas becomes seamless from Johore.
Of course the golf courses got to go to Johore.
As I said already we got no choice. We have run out of land so we need a hinterland. Much like how Hong Kong and the New Territories join up with PRC.

But all this goes out the window if there is conflict between Malaysia and Singapore!!

Rich FT stay sinkieland.
Poor sinkie banish to JB.
This is what you voted for....song bo?

no need wait til 2030. include tourtists sure exceed 7millions now

Iskandar will backfire and be used as a political weapon by Malaysia during elections and a bargaining chip in negotiations. Watch the show in 10 years time

And Malaysians show their resentment with actions ...weapons are easily available. Would sinkees become hunted animals in Johor?

I doubt the Malaysians or its government will let sinkee have a free stay in Johor or be available to work freely there.

Thats the part I am not so sure. I know that Sinkapore needs Malaysia but not so sure if it is the other way around! Heck, lah...if they don't agree, we just invade lah!!

High speed rail is will cost more than airfare... definitely not for daily travel.

Was it Teo CH who taught you Singapore can complete its invasion into Malaysia in 3 days?
What he did not tell you is, he was referring to Sinkies invading JB for cheap supplies.
