Seriously, you guys still want to fondly recall your years of slavery ? Singaporean males have been shafted for so many years and they still bore people with their army tales. Do you guys think in event of a real war your leaders will still be here ? They will be marshalling our defence from some distant location just like Kuwait rulers until the dust settles. Did you encounter any stirring tales in NS ? Heroism ? Learnt any life lessons ? All I got was some funny anecdotes and a close of some really sad cases of humanity. During my NS I was scheduled for OCT course because I got Air Level.
But i declared 302 while at BMTC. I just passed out of BMT, one SGT wanted to charge me for something misunderstand which he totally blew out of proportion. Kenna kick out of OCT course before course even started.
Then posted to Stagmont, where I was lobo for 1 month
Then after that somehow managed to became admin support asst. I was clerk for two years.

Just for closure. You are the really can. There is always a Coy 2i/c and 99.999% this guy is also a regular. This guy will cover the duty of the OC when He is away.
Therefore, I think you have left out some important detail when you said that you use to cover duty for the OC. My guess is that you were covering the duty of your PC. So coincidentally, your PC at that time was covering the duty of the 2i/c who happened to be also covering the duty for the OC. Let's just say that I was very familiar with military law. In fact, I was defending officer for a number of my men when they were court martialed for drugs offenses. Sadly, I did not succeed in getting any of them off the hook which was why I decided against a career as a lawyer.

No case for drugs related offences, either 18 or 22 months detention in TDB.
And I think there is also no remmision.
As a documentation clerk, I needed to update their ROD date, ensured every kits
is in the alibaba bag and straight away sent them to TDB after the sentencing.
All the MPs there acted as if their fathers owe the army. Before the detainee went inside
the cell, already kena torture. I also kena tekaned, asked me to stand straight, why my
logo lost one button? for that this lao lan MP wanted to give extra duties. He said he will call
my Provost Unit and recommended the MP SGT to give me extra duties.The MP SGT was a Malay
and my chief clerk also malay, the two like abang, so they bochap. But I was also immune to all these.
Once the detainees were inside they were not allowed to lift their head up.
So, anyone ever locked up inside Tanglin Detention Barrack.

however, they put me in the CMR(Civil milltary relation) as an OPs spec, they really got look into my strength, i was a topo champ in my NSF unit.
i was an infantry specialist, last rank, 2nd sergeant posted to 3rd guards and spent last 6 months of my service in NCC(National Cadet Corps). when i was in NCC, i helped the cadets to carry balloons.
