Many foreign students in private schools sit for these certs and can even apply for jobs before they graduate. If good they are employed with S pass.

That's how we are flooded, no ponds intended.

SINgaporeans are just too blind to see & allowed the people they voted for, to bring in people who lower or restrict their salaries, getting the worst benefits & yet paying more . This 'ponding' of foreigners or aka FT's started after the 80's recession, again, who was the clever one that spured the recession, no prize for guessing; it was then the Malaysians. They were offered pay lower than an average SINgaporeans, & if they work here for a number of years, they are sponsored for PR. Some employers, even throw in free rentals, if they are loyal to the company. That open the 'pond' gates for HK's, Pinoys, the Ah Nehs & now, come one, come all.

I have worked with a S Pass Pinay, who could apply for a credit card, with her below the requirement salary, chalked up the maximum limit, resign & disappear to homeland. How I know, I receive calls & letters from the banks.

This was in the 90's, So, what is new?

It's not difficult to borrow or get credit from banks nowadays. In fact, it might be harder to cancel the cards

Some banks do allow you to have a credit if you place a sgd 10k collateral. Some banks like HSBC have credit cards that has a limit of sgd 500. Last but not least, nowadays debit cards looks like the credit cards. Even if you have a debit card, you can say that it's a credit card if you don't show it to ppl.

i think NS men and Uni students can get credit cards with $500 limit without any income proof.
