Did you all notice something is in common about Singapore big scam cases? Everytime when someone in "power" is exposed of scam, the person is allowed to "take a break" and go overseas. I smell fish in the so-called overseas trip - to park ill-gotten gains away from Singapore bank? there is no stopping them by our Kangaroo court given the degree of seriousness in such scam cases of exploiting commoners trust in the name of religion or charity setting.

for while i tot it was u. i also been to chc, that time still in hollywood, been there 5-6 time and attend their christmas service at indoor stadium. that time sun ho was not a singer, i remember she was standing on the stage giving sermons like a pastor. i stopped going when i found the way they collect money a bit extreme. before every service start, there is young chinese pastor will give the figures for the "church building fund" and keep extolling the "flock" to give more. They even install a net counter for those who have no cash. bloody hell!!! anyway after i stop attending, i was surprise that chc claim that sun ho was never a pastor in newspaper. something does not add up.
I was at Hollywood too, was there 4 months. Left thereafter.

Religion is a sensitive topic and I remembered I first heard of City Harvest Church when they were at the old Hollywood Theatre, currently occupied by Sheng Siong.
I could recall 1 friend trying to ask me to go to church with him, another telling me not to go. The other friend who dissuade me from going told me he was like me persuaded to go and when he was there, he could see that they were really very aggressive in "giving" to the church. Then my friend was still a poor student and with only $2 with him, he was told to give to the Church. My friend said he wanted to buy lunch a cheeseburger with that money (I still can remember because this cheeseburger story really etched in my head) The cell group leader told him, $2 should be given to the church and not to buy a cheeseburger. My friend was pissed and never go back again.
Religion has always been misunderstood by people who interpret not in the God's way but by people's way that they want to.
