It's obvious US are not there to protect the gulf states. But to keep them in check. To dominate over them. How it ended up like this is s mystery. Why did these Gulf states ended up with huge US bases in each one of them. Who were threatening the Gulf states? If it was Iraq, US supplied weapons to Iraq to destroy Iran. It failed and bankrupted Iraq, which then invaded Kuwait to help pay it's war debt.
