best now, then 1 year later 5090+ or 6000 is the best. what is the point?

GPUs cost so much, they should at least allow users to upgrade ram when need be. Have expansion slots like motherboards, instead of having to buy a new one. Ditto for the GPU processor. But that's probably a bridge too far, since graphics card makers would want you buy new cards to keep them in business.
