PEASANTPORE: Some bold second-hand car merchants have described the recent new decrees taken to cool the automotive market as a "fucking drastic" move. It appears many used car merchants are unaware that they are universally hated by many local peasants who rated them worse than civil serpents.

They stupidly moaned that the decrees may even cause used-car sales to fall by more than half, as if Ruler Loong is their pal who must watch out for them.

Car dealers who usually double up as loan-sharks said that prospective used car buyers are usually peasants with limited income, or families with children. They usually prey on them by telling them to sign up for hefty car loans with HDB-like interests.

During the ex-Regent Woody years, sacked transport minion Yeo CT promoted loose monetary policies, flooding the car market with cheap loans and abundant COEs. After Ruler Loong took over, he decided to limit car ownership to allow transport cartels to make super normal profits so that they can paid fat cat dividends to fund his wife's overseas punts.

Ruler Loong without a heartbeat tighten measures on car loans and registration fees to force poor peasants to take Transport Minion Lui's unreliable trains. Used car dealers said this will have a significant impact on their profits.

Loanshark Eddie Loo, Owner of CarTimes Loansharks, said: "KNNCCB, we happily making money by charging local peasants handsome HDB-like interests for the car loans. Big boys like banks also fucking having a good time. Lumpar now Ruler Loong wants his transport cartels to earn money and make Temasick happy with dividends?

KNNCCB, how we survive now? For his wife to be happy with SMRT's fat cat dividends, we must now cough out blood? Not fair right! I know we car owners are dishonest bastards who often sell lemon cars, but we also pay taxes hor for many donkey full moons? These decrees simply pull the rugs off our feet, lumpar ok!"

Why should they be seething with rage? Especially after ripping off consumers all these years?

They learn from the best, they just follow the example...now the 'example' is biting them back...what goes around, comes around...:)

hmm...thought the arf increase for new car will push people to rush for 2nd hand car...which meant the ah beng 2nd hand car salesman should be doing ok....of course loan downpayment is a problem...if you buy older car should be fine...

They might come out with a rule that only married couple with three kids can bid for See-hor-E.

So next time go showroom look-see look-see must bring along marriage-cert and children's birth-certs to qualify.

These used car thieves obviously have no clue how the changes affect them... to play safe they just whacked first

I am surprise, do one protest about COE?only singaporean are so obedient. if it is about congestion, then they can also have a lucky draw where the lucky, the poor, can also buy car at $1 per COE. It is all about money to the gov and civil servant pocket.

in that case, it will become a national lottery.
The winner who dont need a car will sell coe to the highest bidder, back to square one

No, not 'back to square one'.

If that happens, the profit goes to the lucky person who luck-dipped the COE, not PAP.

That is something ruler Lee cannot stand and allow! That is only reason all peasants bid among themselves and the profits goes to PAPa. Like this okay.

It's quite pointless. No population reduction = same traffic congestion.

That segment will be dominated by the mats..n do they earn enough to qualify for tax rebate?

Then there is more reason not to have such a lottery. We don't want to turn our nation into a nation of gamblers.

Looks like car salesmen can start preparing their resumes.

last time also happen once............even those selling new Jap cars are in trouble............next time can only see Jap 7-seaters or Lexus only...........no more normal Toyota or Honda...........

Used car merchants - poor babies.

It took many donkey full moons before peasants realised ex-Regent Woody and former Transport Minion Yeo CT were rather intelligent serpents to enhanced Communist inspired COEs with ERPs to earn simple simple profits at peasants' expense.

However retribution hit hard when the greedy regime, egged by Bargain Hen opened the floodgates and allowed cheap foreigners to swamp the land and wreck the transport system and created the massive daily road jams.

Ruler Loong realised the profits were going to foreign carmakers, oil companies and banks that supply suckers with cheap loans while he bear peasants' moans. Hence he decide to appoint SMRT as the winner to ensure constant supply of dividends. When COEs reached 100k levels, car population refused to budge after every peasant adjusted to the pain and started cursing him. Ruler Loong finally followed what many lumpar netizens and political economists have suggested - cull the source of cheap car loans that fuel car sales.
