...Winning one or two GRCs next election by any Opp is playing into the PAP's trap. As long as the 2/3 majority is not broken, it is a hollow victory, just like now.........a total waste of time, as nothing changes in parliament, as Opp is toothless.....In fact, there is no way to turn back the clock. Singapore belongs to both the new citizens and old citizens. Get used to that and make use of that. If not, 2016 will just be another non-event.

To topple the pappies, it is not a single stroke of an event (GE2016). It is a gradual process until pappies are no longer in control of Govt. It began in GE2011 and will continue into GE2016. New shitizens would also vote against pappies in due time after finding they are also screwed like all natives. Currently, many natives are not supporting the pappies; their supporters are the por-lum-pars. Any credible oppo party will do except pappies.

Voting the opposition candidate is to vote out the PAP. The better the opposition candidate, the lesser the chances of the PAP being voted back in soon.

The opposition should field candidates in all the seats but that doesn't mean they should not look for the best ones they can find.

More credible people in oppo parties will be good for sinkies to keep the pappies working like their arse on fire for sinkies' benefits. Currently, the pappies are still arrogant and elitist.

...One, a party bothers to have a tough candidate selection because it wants to give Singaporeans their best. This should be applauded. Any party that does not do this is not serious. We can question the result - for example the PAP's tough candidate selection churns out moneymongers because of the values of the party.

Still, it is not fool proof. The pappies got crooked MPs and Ministers in the past.

...CSM, Daniel Goh and Leon Perera have made the mark....No one knows what TJS issue with WP is but there are people saying he is self centred.

Their desire to serve the country, not for self glory, makes them stand out unlike those who seek to join pappies to enter Parliament and get company directorship to fatten their wallets.

If these people want to hang themselves in front of the public then it is our job to give them the rope and even help them to tie the noose when required. The first job must not be forgotten and that is to vote out the PAPzis, log stock and barrel.

New shitizens will leave as soon as their children reach NS age or when they have built a sufficient nest egg to return home depending on which comes first. They are in gratitude to the PAPzis. They receive preferential treatment and are excused from NS even if they are in their 20s. They can bring their entire families to add to the vote base. They receive large salaries from their countrymen who are in charge of HR and have links to employment agencies. They appreciate that the PAPzis have signed trade treaties with thier motherland to allow them instant and easy access to jobs that they couldn't even dream of just a few short years ago. They have a lot of gratitude towards the PAPzis for not going after unscrupulous HR managers and employment agencies.

I wont bet on it. A PAP clone as Opp will not only split votes for the Opp but also eat into PAP votes. Wax dummy Tony Tan got only 30% over votes during the PE2011 because of Tan Cheng Bock.

There is a small chance that TJS and his party will engage in 3-cornered fights as he already has a bad name from the presidential elections. He and his men will not be forgiven for doing it twice in a row. I doubt that they will take such a chance.

The PAP has the likes of Lily Neo and Foo Mee Har. I know there's at least a Lily Neo fanboy here who gets upset if you diss his goddess.
