'He dodged a bullet'
Netizens shared mixed reactions over the influencer's stance on Lau Pa Sat as a first date location, with many expressing disagreement.
"I think he dodged a bullet," one commenter wrote, suggesting that she could have simply recommended a place she preferred instead.
"What's wrong with Lau Pa Sat?" a user questioned, while several argued that Lau Pa Sat can actually be quite pricey, making it a suitable spot for a first date.
'Lau Pa Sat is crazy for a first date'
Others sided with the influencer.
"I agree," a comment read. "Lau Pa Sat is crazy for a first date."
Another said that while going there for a date is "okay", it is not suitable for a first date.

"She does sound a little mean, but I still think it's wrong to go to a hawker centre kind of place for a first date," a commenter added.
