Defence Minister Hishamuddin Hussein believes the red shirt rally on Sept 16 played a role by "balancing" the rallies the country experienced so far.

KLUANG, Sept 26, 2015:

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has asked the Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth Movement to take action against the Pasir Gudang MCA Youth which wants to sever ties with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak over the Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu issue.

The Umno vice-president said the statement by Pasir Gudang MCA Youth chief Chia Chow Hui to break ties with Najib, who is also Umno president and BN chairman, was inappropriate and should be re-evaluated.

“I want to remind them of the many MCA leadership crises that have occurred before this and we in BN, especially Umno never negated the MCA leadership when they faced a difficult situation.”
