Besides sphagetti, how come nobody dicusses Thai noodles too?

The most popular in Thailand being the thin kway teow (called sen lek in Thai). I personally don't like it too much. Guess I'm used to Chinese broad kway teow (called sen yai in Thai) but not so usually used in a dish called ratna, Thai equivalent Cantonese horfun style, and some Thai-Chinese style soup dishes. The thin kway teow seldom seen in Singapore in previous decades penetrated the market here in the 2000s, with many breakfast beehoon mee, bak chor mee and hay mee stalls using it in place of the broad kway teow. It somehow doesn't feel compatible to me and I've never ordered that after a few a tastings. Fortunately, I see no char kway teow stalls using that.
Is Phad Thai cooked using this thin kway teow?
I like Phad Thai as well, best eaten with chilli flakes, lots of lime juice and chilli padi, accompanied by a hot bowl of tom yum soup. :)

Spaghetti and kway chup, not so much.

There were quite many good and better ones in the past but as of now...

The best beef noodle: Lavender Square

May I ask:
1. What do you mean by fish noodles? Is it sliced fish bee hoon or something else?
2. Where is French Road? :o

The one at French Road so-so only. Go Toa Payoh Lorong 7 HC. Two fishball noodle stalls. One sells morning to lunch, superb soup version, and the other sells at night to supper, superb dry version. These are the two best. Lorong 5 at night also not bad. Hope they're all still there. These are all serious self-made fishball noodle, not the bak chor mee version.

between jalan besar football stadium/lavender mrt
Thanks.
Can anyone recommend any places to have tasty foo chow fish balls with noodles?
Makes a change from the normal fish balls.

There was once the best in Beach Road at Aliwal junction coffeeshop. The dry mee kia was no horse run all the way with foochow wanton and fishball mix. Of course could order just the fishball soup. Also no horse all the way. However, after refurbishment and they shifted a little into the lane, everything changed for the worse. Very ordinary now but overpriced.

Do you mind clarifying exactly where the coffee shop is and how much the foo chow fishball noodles cost? Thanks.

Would you consider a bowl of foo chow fishball ramen expensive at $4 per bowl? With 5 fairly large foo chow fish balls? This is the price at most non-Orchard road foodcourts.

I haven't been there for a long time. It was at Beach Road and Aliwal junction. Later moved a bit deeper in the lane. The minimum price was S$3 in 80s/90s, already considered very expensive it was very good, well worth the money. Today should be around S$4 or S$5 but it's very ordinary already, all traditional standards gone. Still better than most foodcourts selling what they claim to be foochow fishball soup though.

Thank you. Thought French Rd was in France and Johore Rd in JB!!!!

Interestingly, French Road in Singapore runs parallel to King George's Avenue and ends at Horn Road. King George IV blew French horn? :D

The best noodles are hand made.

Many Sinkie peasants eat noodles that are made in Factories and think they are great.
What a joke and a show of how the useless peasants enjoy food.

blk 907 jurong west street 91 got nice wan ton noodles which is very QQ, but dont ask for much chillies as i felt that too much is very salty.

the noodles is very Q, if i not wrong the noodles is made with eggs and other good ingredient.
