Tesla sales in China shock analysts!

I just met a car workshop owner. He surprised me with changing to Tesla. His reason is simple.
Tesla gave total package and service all the way from Singapore to Malaysia to Thailand. No cutting corner of after sales.
BYD are just clearing old stocks and customer service falls short.
One cannot just look at cheap, for reliability is never cheap.

Haha..its more like opposite. Tesla is cutting corners with minimalist design and package. While u buy standard BYD , u already have everything in

He doesn't compare apples-to-apples. TESLA can provide a better service package at the moment because it's desperate for sales and also the costs for their service package are already built into their selling prices, especially when their EVs prices are so expensive, compared to BYDs.

People who buy TESLAs are just being snobbish, but not realizing or choose to ignore that they don't get their money's worth, especially when the car's lifespan is only 10 years in Sinkie Land due to the COE. In-car features wise, BYDs are very competitive to TESLAs as BYDs are constantly improving and rolling out new models every 6 months whereas TESLA is still doing facelift models only. Except for the Full Self Driving feature, which is still not fully approve for use in many countries, the other aspects I believe BYD wins hands down.

For me, if I were to buy an EV down the road, I would definitely pick a Chinese make as their battery technologies are constantly improving and I can get much higher range and even less than 15 minutes charging time, albeit the infrastructure must also be ready to achieve such fast charging rate.
