當兵是台灣男性普遍都有的記憶，去年底入伍的海軍艦艇兵735梯、陸軍2225梯、空軍892梯、陸戰隊811梯，是各軍種義務役的最後一梯，役男們於各縣市集合完畢，展開往後1年屬於自己獨一無二的軍旅生涯。如今1年時間過去，他們都將在本月底前離營退伍，象徵過去實行超過60年的國軍義務役制度正式從歷史的舞台上謝幕。
「今天的課程進度是手榴彈投擲，由於要用到身體較多部分的力量，請大家確實暖身、注意安全…」位於台中成功嶺營區的手榴彈投擲場，一位班長認真叮囑新兵注意操課安全，他是新訓的守護者，也是陸軍義務役最後一梯的役男，葉紹庭下士。

掛著黃色的值星班長臂章，下達的每個口令和動作，都是新兵的焦點。葉紹庭說，過去長年旅居國外，但從長輩口中，不時能聽到他們分享當兵的回憶，加上爸爸過去也擔任教育班長，自己對於「班長」多少充滿一份憧憬。
葉紹庭認為，不論是個人新訓的懵懂，或是後來前往步校接受班長訓的洗禮，再到下部隊，除本身的教育任務，還支援旅大門警衛、待命班。漢光演習期間，雖沒到營外參與相關演練，但無論是營門哨長還是待命班，狀況都會不斷下達，也就在這反覆奔跑的過程中，體會國軍之於國家的重要。
現代化領兵 平安退伍是最大目標
隔壁營的李亞哲下士，是葉紹庭的同梯，同樣在自己單位內擔任班長職務。連上正接訓軍訓役，面對服役4個月就退伍的役男，李亞哲仍認真確保新兵上場打靶前，所有防護裝備都能穿戴到位。盯著新兵黏著防彈背心的魔鬼氈，李亞哲說，軍訓役役期短，但把他們教會，是我們的責任。而如何用現代化方式帶領班兵，避免因過於嚴肅失去意義，「能看到他們平安退伍就是最大的目標！」

薪資高、福利好 食勤兵簽下去
有人如期退伍，要開展人生新篇章，也有人適應部隊生活，簽下去讓自己從「義務」變成「志願」。同樣是陸軍義務役最後一梯，目前在單位擔任食勤兵的張隆旭、陳聖福就是這樣的例子。
熟練將水倒入飯鍋，張隆旭負責煮飯，開鍋試米粒軟硬度的專注神情，令人印象深刻。談到自己轉服的過程，張隆旭說，和義務役相比，志願役雖然要當4年，但薪資較高、福利較好，加上入伍前就從事餐飲業，能夠在軍中發揮所學，甚至規劃去受訓，未來還有機會晉升士官幹部。

張隆旭的同梯，同樣在伙房奮鬥的陳聖福，則在一旁用大鍋炒著空心菜，鍋鏟翻炒的動作非常熟練，展現專業。陳聖福說，當兵前是棒球隊的投手，長時間的投球讓右肩出現狀況，但又不願開刀留下後遺症，便思考人生方向轉變的可能。當兵後，發現自己對團體生活不陌生，新訓時對單位環境、幹部管理都能適應，志願役的薪資待遇也較過去所得高，「這些都堅定我加入軍中的決定。」
陳聖福指出，由於過去曾在熱炒店上班，師傅曾任國宴主廚，對於炒菜、備料要求很嚴，但也累積不少經驗。入伍後，進入伙房學習，學炒3、500人要吃的東西，加上自己身高高，剛開始用的大鏟太短，導致炒菜過程太靠近鍋爐，經常不自覺燒破圍裙，後來特製更長的大鏟，燒破的問題才比較少發生。

從3年到4個月 義務役走入歷史
台灣義務役制度的轉變，從1950年代國民政府播遷來台，為防範中共武力進犯，實施義務役(徵兵制)，奠定兵力來源和基礎，其中陸軍役期有2年和3年半(陸一特)的差別，海、空軍及陸戰隊役期則為3年。直到1990年代，役期調整為不分軍種統一以2年方式施行；2000年初，縮短為1年10個月。
2000年8月，首度進行替代役的徵集；從2004年1月到2008年7月，這4年多的過程，役期開始不斷下修，最後停在1年整。役男若在校有修習軍訓課程，累積兵役折抵最多可達1個月，意即服役11個月便可退伍。2013年1月宣布，民國83年1月1日(含)以後出生的役男，僅需接受4個月役期的「軍事訓練役」。
義務役役期幾經更迭，自2008年調整為一年後，迄今入伍人數約78萬餘人。
陸戰隊811梯12月26日最晚退伍 全志願役階段登場
各軍種末代梯次人數分別為陸軍299人、海軍39人、空軍33人、陸戰隊41人，而這最後的412人，入伍時也被網友戲稱，在沒有學弟的情況下，將是「永遠最菜的一群」，令人莞爾。
以各軍種末代梯次入伍日推算退伍日，以陸戰隊811梯的12月26日最晚，代表在沒有任何役期折抵的情況下，義務役將於12月26日正式告終。而義務役退場後，國軍同步進入全志願役組成階段。根據國防部日前表示，明年(108)計畫招募2萬1千餘人，預計後年(109)達成志願役人力90％的目標後，人力撥補採退補平衡方式實施，年度招募需求下修為1萬人。

隨著兵役制度轉換和調整，未來仍有包括短役期的軍訓役，以及需服較長役期的志願役新訓持續上演，偌大營區不會一時太過冷清，但軍訓役役期短，而志願役又僅是部分人的選擇，較長役期義務役不僅串聯幾代人共同的記憶，共是一種集體防衛意識的延續。

High salary and good welfare

From 3 to 4 months, compulsory service goes into history
The transformation of the Taiwanese compulsory service system came from Taiwan in the 1950s. In order to prevent the CCP from committing crimes and implementing compulsory service (conscription system), the source and foundation of the force were established. The army service period was 2 years and 3 years and a half (land). The difference between the one, the special, the sea, the air force and the Marine Corps is three years. Until the 1990s, the service period was adjusted to be implemented in two years regardless of the service; in early 2000, it was shortened to one year and 10 months.
In August 2000, the first recruitment of alternatives was carried out; from January 2004 to July 2008, the four-year process began to be revised down and finally stopped for one year. If a serviceman has a military training course at school, the accumulated military service can be deducted for up to one month, meaning that he can be discharged after 11 months of service. In January 2013, it was announced that the male man born after January 1, 83 (including) of the Republic of China only had to accept the "military training service" for four months.
The period of compulsory service has changed several times. Since it was adjusted to one year in 2008, the number of enlisted people has reached about 780,000.

陳聖福指出，由於過去曾在熱炒店上班，師傅曾任國宴主廚，對於炒菜、備料要求很嚴，但也累積不少經驗。入伍後，進入伙房學習，學炒3、500人要吃的東西，加上自己身高高，剛開始用的大鏟太短，導致炒菜過程太靠近鍋爐，經常不自覺燒破圍裙，後來特製更長的大鏟，燒破的問題才比較少發生。

從3年到4個月 義務役走入歷史
台灣義務役制度的轉變，從1950年代國民政府播遷來台，為防範中共武力進犯，實施義務役(徵兵制)，奠定兵力來源和基礎，其中陸軍役期有2年和3年半(陸一特)的差別，海、空軍及陸戰隊役期則為3年。直到1990年代，役期調整為不分軍種統一以2年方式施行；2000年初，縮短為1年10個月。
2000年8月，首度進行替代役的徵集；從2004年1月到2008年7月，這4年多的過程，役期開始不斷下修，最後停在1年整。役男若在校有修習軍訓課程，累積兵役折抵最多可達1個月，意即服役11個月便可退伍。2013年1月宣布，民國83年1月1日(含)以後出生的役男，僅需接受4個月役期的「軍事訓練役」。
義務役役期幾經更迭，自2008年調整為一年後，迄今入伍人數約78萬餘人。
陸戰隊811梯12月26日最晚退伍 全志願役階段登場
各軍種末代梯次人數分別為陸軍299人、海軍39人、空軍33人、陸戰隊41人，而這最後的412人，入伍時也被網友戲稱，在沒有學弟的情況下，將是「永遠最菜的一群」，令人莞爾。
以各軍種末代梯次入伍日推算退伍日，以陸戰隊811梯的12月26日最晚，代表在沒有任何役期折抵的情況下，義務役將於12月26日正式告終。而義務役退場後，國軍同步進入全志願役組成階段。根據國防部日前表示，明年(108)計畫招募2萬1千餘人，預計後年(109)達成志願役人力90％的目標後，人力撥補採退補平衡方式實施，年度招募需求下修為1萬人。

隨著兵役制度轉換和調整，未來仍有包括短役期的軍訓役，以及需服較長役期的志願役新訓持續上演，偌大營區不會一時太過冷清，但軍訓役役期短，而志願役又僅是部分人的選擇，較長役期義務役不僅串聯幾代人共同的記憶，共是一種集體防衛意識的延續。

High salary and good welfare

Zhang Longxu's same ladder, Chen Shengfu, who also struggled in the house, used a large pot to fry the spinach. The action of the spatula was very skilled and professional. From 3 to 4 months, compulsory service goes into history
The transformation of the Taiwanese compulsory service system came from Taiwan in the 1950s. In order to prevent the CCP from committing crimes and implementing compulsory service (conscription system), the source and foundation of the force were established. The army service period was 2 years and 3 years and a half (land). The difference between the one, the special, the sea, the air force and the Marine Corps is three years. Until the 1990s, the service period was adjusted to be implemented in two years regardless of the service; in early 2000, it was shortened to one year and 10 months.
In August 2000, the first recruitment of alternatives was carried out; from January 2004 to July 2008, the four-year process began to be revised down and finally stopped for one year. If a serviceman has a military training course at school, the accumulated military service can be deducted for up to one month, meaning that he can be discharged after 11 months of service. In January 2013, it was announced that the male man born after January 1, 83 (including) of the Republic of China only had to accept the "military training service" for four months.
The period of compulsory service has changed several times. Since it was adjusted to one year in 2008, the number of enlisted people has reached about 780,000.
