Strategy Against PAP at Next GE

Big bad culprit is PAP. They must take the brunt of the blame

Small culprit are the foreigners. they take a small portion of the blame

If really go a rational basis, the ultimate blame should fall on the Singaporean voters, those who keep voting PAP even when they become arrogant since a long time ago. PAP was so obviously arrogant when they started tying upgrading to voting PAP in the 90s and such nonsense should have been stopped by voting against them then.

But till today there are such voters who will keep voting PAP thinking opposition is not good enough to be voted in. Actually no matter how incapable the opposition are, very unlikely they would lose tens of billions investing in USA bank shares over a matter of months. So by keeping PAP in power since 90s, the loss is even much more than voting in the so called incapable opposition.

As for blaming the foreigners, I strongly believe Singaporeans have the right to blame foreigners for taking our places that should have belonged to us. Be it MRT space, HDB flats, school and job vacancies, public hospital beds or specialist appointment queue etc. When one is directly impacted in one or more of these scenarios, one will know the pain and one has the right to blame them.

the logical explanation of the PAP 60% popular vote is that all segments of the electorate ( upper or working class, young or old, high or low educated, etc, ) voted in majority for the PAP. it is going to take one hell of a mighty vote swing against the PAP for the Opposition to make much significant gains next election.

Man are greedy. Giving benefit to vote for a party is called vote buying - it is illegal. Promising supporters that they will get certain benefit first is called "it is only logical to give priority to those that support my policy" - it is legal. However, the effects of both method are the same. However, the former needs the party to provide the finances but the latter uses tax payers money.

Yes, the people are to be blamed. Logically, who gets upgraded first should be based on who needs it more urgently. If people has first world mentality, they should not support priortisation which is based on the party that the constituents have supported.
