Starting the new year jobless!

Hi Kunta,

I am not a "bro". Sometimes it's all about market forces.
But keep up with your "positive" thinking :)

I am not sure what is at the back of your mind when I suggest he starts his own business.

If you have certain skills and you are able to exchange that skill for some cash, it is doing business. Similar to those that provide foot reflexology. They have the skill, they provide the service in return for payment.

While limpeh may try interviews at other industry, but, interviews are after all interviews. You still need cash to survive, you can't live on the retrenchment benefits to attend interviews. So, at the meantime, if you could exchange your skills for cash; why not ??

When I was jobless and while attending interviews, I worked at pasar malam for some pocket money to get by. I dun just live by with just my own savings. At the same time, I explore the possibility of running a pasar malam store - I found that it is not a good choice for me and I move on.

Not everyone can do business and so that opinion might be ill adviced than you think.

i would rather suggest he throw his net wilder and at the same time look at other industry and not stick to the one he is use to.

to live on, we must be able to accept change, cannot accept change would mean no way of making a better living.

Oops, sis,

Do you believe that when market is bad, all businesses are bad ?

There are some businesses that are still making a lot of money !!!

There are some industries that are still making money. someone just quit his senior position to start his own business. The business he gathered is enough for him to survive for 12 months. There is a story behind which is not right for me to divulge.
