Social divide is a product of PAP policies...

That's why I recommended the book. In it was mentioned that no one in power ever wants the status quo changed, and that they'd do all they can to remain in power. It is not to their benefit to see a more equal share of wealth. If the people want to see any change(s), they'd better do it themselves. Whether it is the PAP or some other group, the story would remain the same. The game, it's about dominance.

Cheers!

I am well aware of the global) trend and what is happening else where. The problem is the pap system just worsens the effects. Yes income gap is widening everywhere but it has widened in Singapore much faster than in other developed countries that counteract the divide with strong measures.

Hope you are in good health. I hope that when I reach your age, I will still be fit enough to work. Have started to watch what I eat more carefully now and not just what I like.

Cheers!

Joe,

At least you are an ordinary working man. I am working as a gardener clearing green moss from the pond at age 69 to put afew scraps on the table.:o

Haha. Yes, and I find it funny not because it is a world problem (actually, it is the way the world works) but because you hit it right on the nose. The government's sole goal is the remain in power and collect taxes, plus a huge salary in Singapore's case.

Justification? Yes. As far as I understand, everything in Singapore is done via the proper channel, via the courts and parliament. All approved, endorsed, and like they say here, rubber-stamped.

Cheers!

your explanation sounds like this is world problem and sinkie million dollars minister cannot do anythigh right?
same as flood as it is global warming and millions dollar minister cannot solve right?
then what is the justification for sinkies to pay 10% gst to support millions dollars minister pay to PAP blood sucker?
