From what is reported, the gun barrel was lowered onto him. Crushed his stomach area, lungs, kidneys and heart.

Pang was inside the Howitzer to repair it when he was injured, the ministry said. A medical officer at Waiouru assessed him just before 2:30pm on Saturday, before he was sent to the Waiouru Camp Medical Centre for further treatment. By 4:10pm, the ministry statement said a helicopter had arrived to take Pang to hospital where he spent more than five and a half hours in surgery.

If there was no reservist, he would still be alive and well today. Tough times for his family, my heart goes out to them. :frown:

He was inside the howitzer doing repair work on the gun barrel. Injured when the gun barrel was lowered. That thing must weigh a few bloody tons, and crushed him.

Get All major rank and above stood vigil and guard his casket as a mark of respect for someone whom died for our country.
