Happy to launch a new tranche of CDC Vouchers today, alongside our mayors, merchant associations, and corporate partners. Every Singaporean household will receive $500 in vouchers — a direct boost to help with daily expenses.
We remain committed to helping Singaporeans manage the cost of living, and we will continue to provide support for as long as it is needed.

Wrapped up the first day of the 46th ASEAN Summit. We had candid and constructive discussions on ASEAN’s response to the US tariffs, as well as the situation in Myanmar. We also adopted the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, a milestone document that charts the path forward for the region’s development over the next 20 years.
I will engage our partners from the Gulf Cooperation Council and China tomorrow. Look forward to another productive day!

Lawrence launched the Singapore-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Launched the Singapore-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) with French President Emmanuel Macron this morning.
We also witnessed the conclusion of 13 agreements in sectors ranging from defence and security to education. France is the first European country that Singapore has a CSP with. The CSP is testament to our commitment to further strengthen our cooperation. Under the framework of the CSP, we will expand collaboration into new and emerging frontier areas such as the green and digital economies, artificial intelligence, quantum technology and nuclear energy.
President Macron and I also exchanged views on regional and international issues. We affirmed our commitment to work even closer together to uphold multilateralism and safeguard the rules-based international order amid an increasingly fraught global environment.
President Macron will be the first European Head of State to deliver the Keynote Address at the Shangri-La Dialogue tonight. I look forward to his address later, and to many more milestones between our two countries.

I had good discussions earlier with Philippine President Bongbong Marcos on concrete ways to broaden the substantive relationship that our countries have built up over decades, including in emerging areas such as renewable energy and carbon credits collaboration, and at ASEAN. We also discussed ways to further strengthen our people-to-people ties, which remains the bedrock of our bilateral relations.
Looking forward to working with President Marcos to bring our relationship to even greater heights.

Selamat Hari Raya Haji to our Muslim friends!
Last week, we saw families and friends sending their loved ones off to Saudi Arabia to fulfil the Haj. I wish all our Singaporean pilgrims in Saudi a meaningful Haj and a safe journey home.
This is also a time to reflect on the values of compassion and generosity. Through the act of korban, meat is distributed to those in need — regardless of race or religion — reminding us of our shared humanity and the spirit of community.
Kepada semua umat Islam Singapura, selamat menyambut Hari Raya Haji bersama keluarga dan insan tersayang.

Deeply saddened by the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad earlier today.
The loss of so many lives is heartbreaking. We extend our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and to the people of India in this time of sorrow.
We stand in solidarity with India and all those affected — including citizens from other countries who were on board. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Had a productive and wide-ranging discussion with President Prabowo Subianto at the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat — our first in our current roles.
We reaffirmed the strong and longstanding ties between our two countries, and explored ways to deepen cooperation in key areas such as the green economy and human capital development.
We also exchanged views on regional and global developments, and agreed to work more closely together within ASEAN and other multilateral platforms to advance our shared interests.
For nearly 60 years, Singapore and Indonesia have stood together through many challenges. I am confident we will continue to do so. I look forward to working closely with President Prabowo and his team to take our partnership to greater heights.

Good meeting with President Xi this morning. We agreed to further deepen cooperation in line with our unique “All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented” Partnership. We also discussed global developments, and the different ways our countries can work together to advance wider cooperation across various platforms like ASEAN and APEC.
We look forward to building on the strong momentum in our ties, and forging closer collaboration in the years ahead. Amidst a more uncertain external environment, we are committed to working together to foster continued peace, stability and shared prosperity for the region.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the Singapore Reception in Beijing last evening — some even travelled from as far as Shanghai and Shenzhen just to be there. One Singaporean, who happened to be on holiday in China, signed up after hearing about the event!
It was heartening to meet all of you, hear your stories, and feel the warmth of our Singapore community abroad.
Our people-to-people ties are the bedrock of our bilateral relationships. And wherever you are in the world, you help to fly our flag and keep our little red dot shining bright.

Lawrence announces more vouchers.

Lawrence Wong

This month we will be giving out SG60 Vouchers to every adult Singaporean — it’s one way to recognise your contributions to nation building.
Seniors aged 60 and above can claim the vouchers from 1 July at go.gov.sg/sg60v. The rest can do so from 22 July.
The SG60 Vouchers work just like CDC Vouchers — you can spend them at participating hawkers, heartland merchants and supermarkets. The vouchers are valid until 31 Dec 2026. I hope they come in useful and you make good use of them!

Just concluded a short but meaningful introductory visit to Cambodia.
Had a good meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet — we reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthen bilateral ties, and discussed ways to deepen cooperation, including in emerging areas such as renewable energy, carbon credits and food security.
My visit coincided with heightened tensions along the Cambodia–Thailand border. I highlighted the need for both sides to exercise restraint and de-escalate the situation, and continue with dialogue to resolve the matter amicably, in accordance with international law.
In today’s uncertain global environment, ASEAN countries cannot afford to let disputes divide us. It is in our collective interest to work together to preserve peace, strengthen regional stability, and deepen ASEAN integration.
Thank you once again to Cambodia for the warm hospitality!

Visited the exhibition “60 Years with Chua Mia Tee and Lee Boon Ngan” — a moving tribute to two remarkable Singaporean artists who devoted their lives to their craft and to each other.
Chua Mia Tee, awarded the Cultural Medallion in 2015, is best known for his realist portraits and landscapes. But his works are more than artistic expressions — they are vivid, enduring records of our nation’s history and identity. His wife, Lee Boon Ngan, was a gifted artist in her own right. Her delicate oil paintings capture the quiet beauty of everyday life, reflecting a deep sensitivity and grace.
Together, they leave behind a legacy that speaks not only of artistic excellence, but also of love, partnership, and a shared commitment to telling Singapore’s story through art.
Thank you to Dr Chua Yang, the curators, and The Private Museum for bringing this meaningful exhibition to life.

Let’s get behind our athletes and cheer for Team Singapore! A warm welcome also to all the athletes and fans from around the world!
