My friend's son had his helmet stolen by a Malay courier while his motorcycle was parked behind UOB Centre recently. In spite of available CCTV footage and a police report being made, the SPF seem to be treating the case as for "reporting purpose" or information only i.e. no further follow-up action required. Even though the crime rate is so low in SG, the police seem so lethargic in investigating such reports. This shithole island is bristling with security cameras, surely it should be very easy to find out who stole it?![]()
Someone is relaxing in one corner strumming that guitar all day long instead of looking for a job.Void deck... guitar..... No need to guess.....
This is like leaving one's laptop or smartphone on a table at a food court, and expecting to still find it when the owner returns.

That is so sad, but oh so true. Those security cameras are not for identifying criminals, but the monitoring of law-abiding citizens.![]()
The leaving of laptops, iPads and smartphones unattended, is rampant at the reading room of private clubs like Raffles Town Club and Tanglin Club. Complacency has set in among club members, but all it takes is for one theft case to remind everyone that low crime doesn't mean no crime. They genuinely believe the propaganda of Sinkieland being super safe, your things won't get stolen, you won't get raped or stabbed outdoors etc.![]()
