Entrusting a $2,500 guitar to a 11 year-old boy.

Something is amiss. I don't believe the boy can tell the difference between a $2,500 guitar and a $250 guitar.

This shithole island is bristling with security cameras, surely it should be very easy to find out who stole it? :o-o:

Lesson is conducted at teacher's home. So its highly probable that he is a faggot who poked the 11-year-old's kar chng, and loaned him the $2.5K guitar as a reward.

susu-key guitar teacher ... experience in dealing with so many children still will make a decision to lend his expensive $2k guitar to a 11yo kid? something fishy leh .... the guitar is spoil or broken and want to find an excuse for kid's stupid carrothead parents to pay for the lost? :whistling:

this type special limited edition confirm cannot sell 2nd hand to shops without kenna identified and reported as thief item .... maybe look out at Carousel see can find the stupid thief selling it .... :roflmao:

My friend's son had his helmet stolen by a Malay courier while his motorcycle was parked behind UOB Centre recently. In spite of available CCTV footage and a police report being made, the SPF seem to be treating the case as for "reporting purpose" or information only i.e. no further follow-up action required. Even though the crime rate is so low in SG, the police seem so lethargic in investigating such reports.

Those security cameras are not for identifying criminals, but the monitoring of law-abiding citizens.

This is like leaving one's laptop or smartphone on a table at a food court, and expecting to still find it when the owner returns.

They genuinely believe the propaganda of Sinkieland being super safe, your things won't get stolen, you won't get raped or stabbed outdoors etc.

The leaving of laptops, iPads and smartphones unattended, is rampant at the reading room of private clubs like Raffles Town Club and Tanglin Club. Complacency has set in among club members, but all it takes is for one theft case to remind everyone that low crime doesn't mean no crime.

Who provided the photos of the guitar, especially the certificate of authenticity embedded in the guitar ?

I don't believe the 11-year-old boy who borrowed the guitar would take photos of the guitar in anticipation of theft. If the boy was so careful as to take photos in anticipation of theft, he would not have behaved in such a reckless manner to leave the guitar at the void deck.

If the photos were taken by the teacher, how would we know it's the same guitar that was stolen ?

My friend who works at a guitar store, related an incident when a teenage boy came to try out a few instruments. He brought in an empty guitar case, and left the shop with a brand new instrument. The staff detected the culprit after reviewing CCTV footage, and called the police after the boy did not respond to requests to return the stolen property.
