Don't confuse matters. Most of cyclists only cycle on weekends or less crowded roads like lim chu kang, mandai and changi coast roads. And sadly many accidents occur along these sparsely used roads because drivers are either drunk, using mobile devices or sleepy.

In fact this case illustrate the problem. It happens along mandai road where there are few vehicles. And why do you think the driver fled the scene? Probably drunk and he knew the consequences.

So why do you think drivers don't give a flying fuck about reckless driving? Because the punishment is so light, itis a global joke.

That is why in my earlier post, I'd already said that I would very like to see more vehicle-to-vehicle accidents and if possible, both drivers were to die. This way, there will be less dangerous drivers on our roads. Our TPs are just as useless when they are ever so reluctant to enforce their own rules. Just like the Woffles Wu's case. The problem goes all the way up to MHA and the previous shortie minister. There was massive under funding of TP, and they allowed new immigrants with dubious driving license roam sg roads, all in the name of making it easy for them to migrate over.

The courts were equally culpable by handing down super light sentences for drunk driving and other reckless driving road kills. There was even a girl who drove her boyfriend car without license, lost control and killed a pedestrian on footpath. She only got four months jail, where fourteen years would have been more appropriate.

I agree that there are many immigrants on our roads.. and the previous red ferrari case is one that shows how they vew road safety and drinking.

Maybe it will take more casualties on the roads, just like the video of how the Dutch got more bicycle lanes; then Sg ppl will rise up and question how these drivers got to be allowed on our roads.
